When was the RV20 no longer supported by VMS?

When was the RV20 optical disk no longer supported by VMS?

I am trying to find out if the SPD for VMS 6.2 states that it supports the RV20.

Thanks

Re: When was the RV20 no longer supported by VMS?

Nigel,

The RV20 is still mentioned in the I/O User's Manual for VMS V7.3 (although VAX only) (see: http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/731FINAL/6136/6136pro_010.html).
This does not guarantee anything, but at least it looks good for VMS 6.2 on VAX.

Greetz,

In the actual SPD
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/info/SP2501/SP2501PF.PDF
the RV20 is still mentioned as a supported disk, except as a system disk.

Karl,

In the SPD it states NS which means Not Supported

Re: When was the RV20 no longer supported by VMS?

The NS is in the ALPHA column, so it should be supported on 7.3.

I've checked some older CD's, Rv20/64 where supported under V5.5-2 and V6.1 and starting
with 7.1 the SPD were Alpha/VAX combined and
just looked like the 7,3 SPD: a NS for the Alpha and nothing for VAX.
