I've just setup our VMS test server with OpenVMS v7.3-2 on it and immediately updated it with TCP/IP v5.4 ECO 6. Now, I am encountering similar problems from these threads:
http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?patchid=DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-156-4&sel={openvms:alpha:7.3-2,}&BC=main|search|

Where can I download the TCP/IP v5.4 ECO 5 patch? ITRC does not seem to keep recently superceded kits.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Solutionkept my copy. If you can't find anything
better, try:
http://antinode.org/ftp/misc/DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.PCSI-DCX_AXPEXE
http://antinode.org/ftp/misc/DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.TXT
or (if your FTP client can cope with VMS):
ftp://antinode.org/misc/DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.PCSI-DCX_AXPEXE
ftp://antinode.org/misc/DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.TXT
(It's 37MB, no faster than my DSL's 1024Mb/s.)

Re: Where to download old patches?
If you have a support contract in place, you can log a call with HP and request the older ECO. If enough calls come in, maybe keeping the older versions around for while can be justified.

Re: Where to download old patches?
For the record, no, an FTP client which tries
to "CWD /misc/DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.PCSI-DCX_AXPEXE"
is _not_ one which can cope with VMS:
5-OCT-2006 12:16:09.23 User:anonymous ident:IEUser@ status:07649912 CWD dir:SYS
$POSIX_ROOT^:^[misc^]DEC-AXPVMS-TCPIP_ECO-V0504-155-4.PCSI-DCX_AXPEXE
MSIE users should simply quit trying.
alp $ sysmsg %x07649912
%TCPIP-E-FTP_BADDIR, invalid directory

Re: Where to download old patches?
Thanks for taking the time in answering my queries. I was able to download the necessary TCP/IP patch that I wanted from Steven's recommended website, although I was initially hoping to get it from an "official HP" website. Phil's recommendation about the Australian HP support website was also good, but I was not able to find the specific patch I was looking here.
Again, thanks all for your help!

Re: Where to download old patches?
I've misplaced my ECO 5 & just realized I missed one server & audit is around the
corner.
Can you place it in your web/ftp server again & email me at golsun@gmail.com to inform me once it's available for download.
I log a call with HP but the specialist
doesn't think it's a problem with their website despite that I kept getting timed
out when trying to download from HP's site.
Thanks a lot
