						Hi all,
I have a AXP1000 system that connects perfectly to a X25 router.
I want to change this machine with a DS20.
We have configured everything but the connection fails.
On the AXP 1000system, when we try a coonection a CFT trace shows me the following
17:28:13.85| Tx| 6| 7E 7E C P XID Id=81, Type=03, Window=127|
17:28:13.85|Rx | 6| 7E 7E R F XID Id=81, Type=03, Window= 32|
17:28:13.92|Rx | 3| 7E 7E C P SABME |
17:28:13.92| Tx| 3| 7E 7E R F UA |
17:28:13.92|Rx | 4| 7E 7E C P RR 0/ |
17:28:13.92| Tx| 4| 7E 7E R F RR 0/ |
On the DS20 whe have the following
17:30:31.78| Tx| 6| 7E 7E C P XID Id=81, Type=03, Window=127|
17:30:31.78|Rx | 6| 7E 7E R F XID Id=81, Type=03, Window= 0|
17:30:32.77|0020| 0| Ack Timer Expired |
17:30:32.77| Tx| 3| 7E 7E C P SABME |
17:30:33.77|0020| 0| Ack Timer Expired
Anyone knows why there is a difference betwenn the two outputs
one shows Window=32 the other one Window=0.
many thanks for your replies

						Maurice,
I'm not familiar with the CFT dump you are using.
Are you using the same interface card and cable on the AXP1000 and DS20? X.25 has several layers. The physical layer has to be correct with which one is set up as the DCE and DTE and with the proper RS-232 signaling.
Once you get past the physical layer you then have the logical layer which has their own desigations of DCE and DTE.

						Hi Cass,
many thanks for your reply.
My X25 router is on the network and can be accessed with the DECnet protocol.
The Ethernet card is not the same on AXP1000 and DS20 but this is properly configured in DECnet
Menawhile I have found that a similar problem was resolved in X25 1.6 ECO3 while I'm using X25 1.6 ECO2 on the DS20.
I'll try to update and see what happens
Regards
Maurice
