XDM to not use nodename up IP
We are building up a new VMS cluster and are using TCPIP (instead of multinet). In the XDM it uses the nodename for display purposes.
We have alot of office users on DHCP. For those client IPs if we do an NSlookup on the IP it returns a name but if we do a NSlookup on the name it does not return an IP.
I know its related to the DNS because if I add the IP to the local host database the XDM works properly. I can also look in the sys$specifci:[tcpip$xdm.work] directory for the files.
Is there a way to make the XDM use the IP address instead of using the nodename?
