Hi,
I have enabled the XDM services on my OpenVMS system with OpenVMS v7.3-1, and TCP/IP services v5.3 ECO4. I can see it is enabled with the UCX SHOW SERVICE command.
On my PC when I use my X-windows emulator and do an XDCMP probe, I can see the HP-UX system, Tru64UNIX systems, Solaris systems, but not the OpenVMS system. Do I have to do somethin additional to get it to respond to the probe ?
With regards
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Yes. You need to put your host name in the following file:
SYS$SPECIFIC:[TCPIP$XDM]XACCESS.TXT
Or simply put a * in the file. It will give access to all.
HTH,
Thanks & regards,
Lokesh Jain
P.S. If the file is not present, then there must be template file. copy this to XACCES.TXT .

What would you do with your life if you knew you could not fail?
