Now we wish to know which hard disk in question is giving error and what filesystem domain/fileset is related to it.
Once we identify the disk, is there anyway we can take preventive measures to have minimal damage?

Depends on many things. This message may not be problematic, maybe it is just write block retry. Also depends on your storage configuration, are all virtual disks mirrored?
The best preventive measure to have minimal damage is to do backup of data every day.

And all disks are in some kind of RAID set.
You have no reason for panic.
You also have spare disk, so in case of one disk failure, unit will replace failed disk with spare disk.

What does it mean and how to identify it?
And all disks are in some kind of RAID set.
You mean MIRROR and RAID1 keyowrds specify this?
But the original question is still unanswered like how to map Hwmgr output with show disks? How do I identify disk14 in question?

To locate suspect do:
HSZ70 > run fmu
show last_failure all
exit
HSZ70 >
and send output (as an attachment)
From that you can find physical disk that caused the event.
If you want to locate "dsk14", you can do:
# dd if=/dev/rdisk/dsk14c of=/dev/null"
and watch which disks have heavy activity.
You will locate a unit (RAID set), not a disk.

I am not sure about this command as I could not find it in docs. Are you sure yo have typed in correct command , that should be executed after "run fmu"

If you are afraid about your storage, do:
SET EVENT_LOGGING
SET FMU REPAIR_ACTION
Attach a terminal emulator to HSG console and log output.

If you're using uerf to look at the binary.errlog, try using the "-o full" option, to give you more information on the "fault". You may well find that it's just a soft or recovered error, that you don't need to worry about...
