FRU is "Field Replaceable Unit", a table formatted by the firmware upon boot. Please check if firmware is uptodate.

The message within the logs is forced by snmp.

My guess is that you are running DECEvent (dia) on the system which is not intended to be run on EV6 system (ES40). If you are, the message is generated at boot time from DECEvent and the MIB's used to support DECEvent. FYI... uerf is obsolete, but helpfull for some situations. The tool for ES40 and newer systems is WEBES -CA (Compaq Analyze) http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/svctools/webes/index.html .

Q. Why do these error messages appear at all?
A. There is a mismatch in the firmware and the operating system that
checks The FRU table. T his will be corrected in a future version
of the OS / Firmware. T he message has no affect with the operation
of your system.


Q. What daemon causes the error message?
A. envmon:SVRSYSMIB=/usr/sbin/svrSystem_mib
snmpd:SVRSYSMIB=/usr/sbin/svrSystem_mib
