creating a regular alpha firmware CD.
Ok, tried, tried, then I tried. I have the alpha v6.6 firmware files downloaded. What is the secret to creating a bootable firmware CD? Like the ones that are distributed e.g. 6.3, 6.4....
One that I can stick in all the current systems v6.6 supports.
the cd's I have made don't boot "no valid boot block" and such. Thanks for any info.

Re: creating a regular alpha firmware CD.
If you have problems creating a firmware cd, order the necessary version from your local dealer or direct at HP.
Btw. the necessary firmware CD's will be delivered with every version of Unix, because there are some dependencies between OS and firmware.

Re: creating a regular alpha firmware CD.
Thanks for the info. The best practices was not what I was looking for. There is a different and better way of doing it. I do think I have found someone to get me a CD. Thanks for the help.
