Daylight Savings Time Change 4.0D

We have a few systems running 4.0D and will there be patches for the Daylight Savings Time Change for the year 2007 and if not is there a way to manually fix/compile this change to resolve?

If you can't find a patch, you should edit and compile a new time zone with the right values for your DST time. Use the zic command. See this howto for detailed information:

Hi,

There was a bug in 4.0D, fixed in V4.0f and higher. The fix is supposed to be in 4.0d patch kit 3 and later.

you find the last patch kit#9 for 4.0D here...

The procedure that Ivan refers to is correct; you need to manually edit the timezone source files to apply the new DST rules, and then recompile the timezone files with zic. If you need help with this, I highly recommend logging a call with HP support.

The bug that Archie refers to is one that involved cron and the DST change. Previously, cron didn't handle the time change well, especially with jobs scheduled at or near the DST change time. I certainly agree with him that if you're still running 4.0D, you should get the last patch kit -- not only for this correction, but for many others as well.
