DEGPA-TA on 500au workstation
I've got a 500au workstation running Tru64 v5.1 with all the latest patchkits, V7.2-1 firmware (newest) and can't get it to run DEGPA-TA at Gigabit.
(Only 100Mbit Full-Duplex which auto-negotiates when OS comes up)
At SRM console, the Gigabit card is not listed. I even tried #lan_config (which only works for settings up to 100Mbit Full Duplex)
I've tried re-seating the NIC, and also forcing the Gigabit switch port to Gigabit which also did not work.
Is there some setting I could use in the /etc/sysconfigtab that will force it to work at Gigabit?
My HP-Compaq 3rd party supplier thinks the 500au might be too old for the card to work.
Any ideas, help is gladly appreciated!
Stephan

Re: DEGPA-TA on 500au workstation
Stephan,
this is not a PC.
Please have a look into the supported option list on the HP web page.
If the card is not detected on SRM it will not work! So select a card supported for 500au (have a look into the support option list of 500au).

Re: DEGPA-TA on 500au workstation
Thanks to Ralph and Mohammed for their replies. I've basically have no hope of
Gigabit on 500au unless it's Fibre.
