Error message on KZPAC on Tru64 Unix

Hi,

I have this event message on KZPAC in the system.
System is running fine but my customer is concerned with this message.

System is ES40 running on Tru64 Unix V4.0F.
The system has logged an event of the KZPAC module with these messages,
xcr_cmd_timeout
Controller has stopped responding
Controller Softc at time of error

Other than this one event, the system did not experience any problems.

Any advise will be appreciated.

It appears that the swxcr stopped responding and reset. Check the /etc/fdmns directories and see what is linked to the devices and if that domain is still working I would not worry about this unless you start seeing more.

Either way, it is a hardware problem.

This xcr_cmd_timeout, means that the KZPAC just slept during an operation and was waiting for a responce when it did not get it, it just timed out and had to reset the SCSI bus.
I had this problem before on swxcr controllers AHA-1740 on AS2100 and AS4100, but never -yet- on the new KZPAC's.
Just don't worry about it unless it happend more often then maybe you have to troubleshoot where is it coming from.
