ES40 Fan 5 Failure
I have an ES40 that displays a FAN 4 and 5 Failure on the LED display.
I know that fan 5 is a redundant fan and will only kick in if Fan 6 fails, but Fan six is working fine. The system still comes up and boots but displays that error.
Any ideas will help.
Thanks
Jim Garza

Re: ES40 Fan 5 Failure
Jim,
Did you check the power status? if not check it invoking RMC or SRM using
>>> show power
check the power status of fan 4 and 5.

Re: ES40 Fan 5 Failure
You must replace PCI board.
I had this problem several times.
