Re: framework error: subsystem 'ptstr' failure at boot.
Is this a "fresh" installation or was a working system?
Try to boot using the genvmunix kernel:
boot -fi genvmunix -s
Run:
bcheckrc
swapon -a
lmf reset
doconfig
Recompile and copy the new kernel to /
Try to boot again. How the problem started? The system crashed?
Did you changed something on the hardware? 4.0F is very sensitive to disk changes.

Re: framework error: subsystem 'ptstr' failure at boot.
I am very impressed by the many fast responses.
For information: it's not a new installation, but the restore of another system.
I have DECss7 installed on my server but no DENBE1. It is certainly my problem. I try to uninstall DECss7 and reboot. I would give you the response in a few days.
Regards,
Dominique
