How to change a MAC address

Hi all,
Iám try to figure out how i change the MAC address on a OS-tru64 - 4.0g.
Can somone tell me how i can do this because the application iám running is not supported anymore and the software is looking at the MAC address. Because a change of the networkcart... the application is not working anymore.
