How to change ip address?

Hi guys,
how can i change my ip address? Since ill be changing the ip address of my dns,what config file should i change also? tia

Personally, working in a non-production lab I often just: vi /etc/rc.config
followed by: rcinet restart

If you use /etc/rc.config do not forget to do vi /etc/hosts also.

Use sysman net_wizard to avoid problems. Or netconfig for Tru64 V4.

For changing DNS address edit /etc/resolv.conf
In vino veritas, in VMS cluster

Don't forget to change the address in the local hosts file as well.

And if you are changing subnets, don't forget to adjust your default route and any other routes that may be affected by editing /etc/routes.
