how to enable EIGRP on Tru64
Hi,
we need to build a redundant connection from our Tru64 5.1B (PK3)Cluster to our MAN via two routers.
The problem is, the routers are talking EIGRP only. For dynamic routing we need to enable EIGRP on the Tru64 Cluster, but gated isn't talking EIGRP. Is there any utility, patch or anything else to provide EIGRP on Tru64 ?
Any ideas?

Re: how to enable EIGRP on Tru64
Tru64unix supplies routed and gated images in v5.1b. It only autoconfigures RIP for gated.
If you are looking for the latest routing protocol support, you may be better off checking with the folks that support gated....the gated consortium, etc. to see if gated supports EIGRP or try searching for any other host based solution that also uses EIGRP.

Re: how to enable EIGRP on Tru64
EIGRP stands for Enhance Inter-Gateway Routing Protocol and has been assigned protocol number# 88. Is this cluster configured as a general purpose gateway , that needs to talk inter-gateway ?
According to http://www.iana.org/assignments/protocol-numbers it seems to be a CISCO proprietary protocol.
Why do you think Tru64 UNIX should use this protocol ?
Johan.

In fact, EIGRP is a Cisco propietary protocol.
Maybe you can speak with the router´s admin and tell about your problem, maybe they can help you !!
