LSM problem
Hi, All (again)
I moved LSM disk group from one system to another.
In new system this disk was successfully added
# hwmgr show scsi
SCSI DEVICE DEVICE DRIVER NUM DEVICE FIRST
HWID: DEVICEID HOSTNAME TYPE SUBTYPE OWNER PATH FILE VALID PATH
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
...
.
.
124: 12 xdrhost disk none 2 1 dsk11 [8/0/0]
125: 13 xdrhost disk none 2 1 dsk12 [8/1/0]
126: 14 xdrhost raid none 0 1 scp0 [8/32/0]
Then I make
#voldctl enable
#voldisk list
...
.
.
dsk11 sliced dsk11 rtb online
dsk12 sliced dsk12 rtb online
This look like fine, but after reboot OS, LSM lost this disks.
dsk11 and dsk12 not listed in “#voldisk list”. Only after “#voldctl enable” I see dsk11 and dsk12.
I try voldisk clearimport, but it not help.
What wrong?
System info: Tru64 V5.1B BL-26
P.S.
Sorry for my English.

Re: LSM problem
Hi,
Have you had LSM running on the target system earlier or is this the first time you run it there?
Sounds like there are missing entries in /etc/inittab which makes LSM start, because when you run voldctl enable manually you get the disks online.
Regards,
Kari
