NIS client on tru64 V5.1 2650 and ypserv 2.8 on redhat elas3
may my tru65 unix alpha client use nis on redhat server ?.
When i try to log i get this error:
warning: Authentication failed.
Disconnected; no more authentication methods available (No further authentication methods available.).
on my client I have enhanced security enable, and NIS client within -s security option enable, -S too and DISALLOW ALL ypset requests option.

"log" in how? To me, this looks more like an
ssh error than an NIS error.
ssh error than an NIS error.

Enhanced Security requires a NIS map that redhat is not distributing. Tru64 UNIX Enhanced Security is not compatible with other vendor's Enhanced Security.
