no more compression on sdlt1drive after install 51B + Kit3 + mandatory patch
After installing V51B with kit and patch, my
ES40 with flexlm don't compress data during backup with tina (time navigator) from atempo.
The backup need a new cartridge afer 110 gigas.
I have compared the ddrdatabase on V51A et V51B
It's the same thing for SDLT1. I use an overland loader with quantum driver who don't appear in the ddrdatabase. The only name "compaq" is mentionned in ddrdatabase
for SDLT. The compression was very good with V51A. If compression stay off i must buy for a month cartridge for nothing, so I prepare a go back system to V51A last week.
my device is ntape/tape1_d1 (max compression)
If someone have a need idea, please reply.

Re: no more compression on sdlt1drive after install 51B + Kit3 + mandatory patch
Hi,
Could you do a test with /dev/ntape/tape1c, where c=compression ?
And what is "mt -f /dev/tape/tape1_d1 status" telling you..?
Johan.
