RIP2

In Compaq Tru64 UNIX V5.1 (Rev. 732) when we scan it with nessus scan it is giving security alert saying to upgrade the RIP to RIP2 I do want to know why Rip is used and how to update to RIP2

If you don't use RIP, stop or disable the service. You can disable the routed service and configure the gated service to don't listen RIP. See man routed, man gated.
