RSTP vs. STP
I have a Tru64 and UNIX surroundings with Gigaswitch/FDDI and MS900 switches. At the installation of of additional procurve switches 5308xl and 4108gl a RSTP topology was changes triggered to STP (DEC). The NFS servers have lost Meta data (eMail and others).
Can somebody give me a tip, how I can configure the net around no data losses to get?
Or isn't this permitted to Constellation?

Re: RSTP vs. STP
Klaus,
I don't think that this is the correct forum to discuss Spanning Tree protocol issues and setup of routers.
On the unix-side you can see if everything works correctly with the netstat, nfsstat, ... commands.
Don't know if this helps
Joris

Re: RSTP vs. STP
Jorris,
you are right, because STP depend on the type of server/network configuration and is a "switch" only issue.
