sendmail for 3 members
i try to forward mail from one member of a cluster of 3 members. for example if i send a mail to user user1 i would like to forward it to an external mail (user2@extern). The problem is that i cant send it directly because this particular member doesnt know the ip of my proxy.
I have to send it to a member that knows the ip of the proxy (mailer local) and then that member can send mail to this proxy.
if you can help me or give me some tips to advance, thanks.
Manuel Rottereau

Re: sendmail for 3 members
When posting such problems, it's always a good idea to post information such as the operating system and patch kit level if known since the patch kits often contain later versions of some utilities such as sendmail.....but you might also want to list version of key items such as sendmail.
To answer your question, try running mailsetup as root and answer all questions....don't take the short form. One of the questions will ask if you want to setup a mail relay.
Answer yes and then include the mail relays's ip address or hostname.
Then when it asks for the relay policy, choose the appropriate selection for your needs.
