Tru64: Application Manager not opening

Our System Details:
---------------
Server- Es40 Alpha server
Processor - 04
Memory - 2 GB
OS version - tru64 ver 5.1A

Problem: When clicking on Application Manager Icon on CDE, it is giving error (I am working as user root)-

"Invalid Folder Specification,
/var/cluster/members/{memb}/dt/appconfig/appmanager/root-unchahar.ntpc.co.in-0"

In the windows titled " File Manager Open Directory Error"

Due to this error most of the X Windows applications available on Desktop is not opening with same or similar error.

-Our system ip address is - 191.254.11.60
- DNS is not configured
- NIS is not configured
-'hostname' command output is - unchahar.ntpc.co.in
- /etc/hosts has following entry
191.254.11.60 unchahar.ntpc.co.in
127.0.0.1 localhost

Any help is appreciated.

Looks like maybe one of your CDSLs has gotten messed up. What does the output of

#ls /var/cluster/members/*/dt/appconfig/appmanager

look like?

Are you running TruCluster?

Please post the output of exactly these commands. Do not 'cd' to the directory first.
#ls -l /var/cluster/members/*/dt/appconfig/appmanager

# ls -l /var/dt

Should have spotted this sooner - sorry. Your 'hostname' and /etc/hosts file entry show your top level domain as 'in', yet your directory structure seems to be using 'in-0' Which is correct? You might try either changing the directory name(s) to match the hostname or vice versa.

To

/var/cluster/members/{memb}/dt/appconfig/appmanager/root-unchahar.ntpc.co.in

CDE grafical interface is still not working. the following error appears:-
"file manager open directory error"
if i open monitoring tuning or storage management the following
error appears:


"invalid folder spacification,
/etc/.dt/appconfig/appmanager/C/
system_Admin/monitoring tuning".
