Tru64 Dns client compatibilities
I'm a tru64 and trucluster admin for 3 years now, and I've to faced to a strange question.
Some of my power users argued that there are problems with tru64 dns client and windows (version >2000) Dns server.
They also telling me that tru64 servers have problems when adding more than one dns server to resolv.conf
Even if all this seems ridiculous to me, 'cause I've never got this type of problem, it's maybe possible that their reports are true under specifics patch versions I don't know.
Can you please confirm me that Tru64 is the good OS I know ?
Regards,
Lionel Giraudeau

Re: Tru64 Dns client compatibilities
My customers heve servers with more than one dns server in resolv.conf and have no problem with that (5.1B PK5 and PK4). Some of them even use DNS servers directly from internet (through firewall).
OK, DNS servers are UNIX, not MS.
What kind of problems are they talking about? Ask them for more details.
OF COURSE that Tru64 is the good OS you know!

Re: Tru64 Dns client compatibilities
I think that if there is a problem, should be at the MS side ;).
For example, MS NTP server usually does not work for Tru64, any other NTP server works. See: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=960544
