Unable to RCP from a remote location to a local location (Timing out)

I have read another Thread string on this very subject. Does anyone have the answer. Currently I've noticed that the rcp uses a port in the 522 to 580 range for outbound and port 514 for inbound during some testing on our local server.
I am going to have a port between the range of 520 and 580 opened up on our remote server where the rcp is being initiated. JJ

It depends on the question. (Was _that_ a
question?)

As usual, it might help to see the actual
command(s) you use, and the actual output
therefrom, and the OS on each end, and a
description of the network impediments which
might lie between the systems.

Does a simple "rsh" work between the systems?
