Hello Everyone,

I need your assistance with this error: "An error occurred while taking the snapshot: Failed to lock the file"

Hi jgorospe,

                 If this issue specific to one virtual machine migrate the virtual machine to different host and try taking snapshot.
The kernel log will tell which file is locked ( Specific host locking the file) 

Even you can try a power OFF snapshot and then power ON consolidate the virtual machine and take a fresh powered ON snapshot.
