Drivers for HPE 631SFP28 Adptr and vmWare
Hello All,
This is one of my first posts, this may be in the wrong forum, as it involves the NIC, the server (a Proliant DL380 Gen 10),, vmware, and iSCSI. We are running vmware ESXi vSphere 7.0U1 on this host machine. We have the adapter noted in the subject line on this server. I have searched the vmWare forums to see if there is a way to configure this adapter for dependent iSCSI - but no luck. We do have it currently configured for iSCSI using the vmware software adapter. My question is: can this adpater be configured as a "dependent" iSCSI adapter, and if so what driver(s) do I need to accomplish this.
Thanks for a great resource.

Re: Drivers for HPE 631SFP28 Adptr and vmWare
Hello and Thanks,
Unfortunately that posting does not help me. It seems that I can only configure the 25GB port on the HPE 631SFP28 card.
The display I get when logged on the the ESXi host shows the adapter as a FCoe connection, and offline. I can follow those steps (vm kernal, vswitch, port group, etc) but the adapter only can be configured as a software iSCSI adapter in VMware.
I was wondering if there is a special driver for the HPE 631SFP28 that will allow a dependent iSCSI configuration.
thanks,
ewholz
