ESXi 4.1 SAS controller P410i managment.
Hello all,
I have recently installed VmWare ESXi 4.1 downloaded from the HP website on a ML370G6 with P410i controller.
How do I manage the RAID controller with rebooting to the utility on the CD-Rom? I understand this can be done with ESX4.0 (note the missing 'i') by installing hpacucli (command line interface).
I have installed the executable (.hpacucli) on ESXi 4.1 and it will run, but does not detect the controller.
Is there any such tool on the way for ESXi, as VmWare has clearly stated in it's roadmap that ESXi is the preferred platform? When can we expect it? It is seriously frustrating to have to reboot the server when storage is added!

Re: ESXi 4.1 SAS controller P410i managment.
I share your frustration.
As far as I know this is just not possible with ESXi.
Would be nice if HP came with some sort of plugin to manage the array controller.
