HP UPS Management Module and ESXi

Hi all,

I'm currently working on the HP UPS Management Module. I'd like to install the agent on ESXi for the graceful shutdown.

However, it looks like this agent is not compatible with ESXi (5.1), only with ESX.

 May anyone confirm this information?

Hi,

I believe there are no agents for the ESXi box (as ESXi host do not support RPM file installation), but rather I would suggest try using the HP Power Protector (HPPP). End result shutting down the Machines gracefully.

Refer the below link on page number 122. On Installing HPPP through vMA.

{Wild guess as vMA supports for installing RPM files you could try ESX agent but the script needs to be modified so that it can actually point the ESXi host.}
