problem creating a CentOS 7.x virtual machine

Good Morning:

I just install the HPE Custon Image for VMware ESXi 6.5 in 3 HP servers. I was able to create a Windows 10 virtual machine that runs Ok. On the other hand I was no able to create a CentOS 7.x linux virtual machine; I had an error message saying that the vm already exist. I had the same error message in all 3 servers I installed. Please if someone had the same problem, could you please tell me de way to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi m8,

Which exactly version of the CentOS 7.x? you are installing as welll it is minimal or full version? Did you select right OS version during creating the VM Guest?

There is possibility that VM with the same name have been created previously. It has been deleted from inventory but files could still reside on the ESXi server.

Are you using VCenter?

Re: problem creating a CentOS 7.x virtual machine

Thanks for your answer.

I wanted to install CentOS 7.2, but the problem is when declaring the VM. During the procedure for allocate the disc space, memory RAM etc., for creating the VM without installation.

This problem appears in a just installed server nothing was installed before.

I am not using VCenter, I try to manage de host directly from the website
