HPE dl360 Gen11 - after updating to the latest firmware SPP P81143_001_gen11spp-2025.03.00.00 the boot option for VMware is missing. Eventually it boots the vmware, but after server tries each of the bootable. I have 2 identical servers with identical firmware and configs, the second one boots without an issue, and it can see the VMware boot in the bootable order.

Re: VMware boot option is missing (HPE dl360 Gen11)
Hello ,
Greetings !
Do you see the required boot device under boot options , If yes then move the required one to top using + key or shift + so that it doesn't to go through other boot options .

SolutionThe esxi boot option was totally missing. Apparently SPP P81143_001_gen11spp firmware was not comptiable with ESXi7. So, I have upgraded to ESXi8 and Boot option has re-appeared. However, esxi boot option is appearing on my 2nd server which is running ESXi7. Anyway, issue has been resolved.
