With a second array on DL380 gen8 vsphere does not boot anymore

Hi, I have a older Dl380 gen8 server for tesing, not hcl compatible. I did install one array on the P420i for booting und installed vSphere 6.x 7.x and 8u1, it does boot, it is working. After that I created a new Array (B) with 6 x 900GB disk with Raid5, does not finish boot anymore. After creating this new Array the esxi 8u1 (or7.x) does stop at the end at storage-path-claim. When I delete the Array B it is booting again as normal! I did not found something for that hang... I think many of us have a older server hardware for testing with the same problem..

Thanks for your help!

Best regards

werner

In Smart storage administrator you will have an option Set Bootable Logical Drive/Volume. Select the appropriate voluem where you want the server to boot from. We however do not recommend dual  operating system installation.
