CDRW/DVD Samsung Device SN-324F stopped Writing

Hi ,

My Notebook HP compaq nx9010 has been working well since i purchased it in December 2003 . Suddenly my CDRW/DVD Device stopped Writing on CDs but reads Cds .
Whenever i try to write on a Blank CD i get one of this two errors :
" There are no disk in the Driver "
" Disk is Full "
I tried to write on many blank cds and i get the same errors each time . Also i am sure that nothing in the device settings where changed . And i made the usual Lens Clean procedures .

My Device Model is : Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324F

Please Advice ,
Thanks for your Time

Re: CDRW/DVD Samsung Device SN-324F stopped Writing

I downloaded the firmware file which i found in HP through the following Link :
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/hpcpqnk/us/download/21887.html

file " SP28116.exe "

And after running it as descriped i got the error showed in the Url below :

http://nilefair.com/error2.html

And still writing cds error exists .

Re: CDRW/DVD Samsung Device SN-324F stopped Writing

I think it must be a mistake - the firmware is for a different device.

I've got a problem with this Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324F, too (HP compaq nx9005) - it can read and write CD's and read DVD-ROM without problem, but it doesn't read any DVD-R/DVD-RW.
Does yours device read DVD-R/DVD-RW?

This article helped me resolve a problem with a Dell Optiplex GX270. I removed the two registry keys and Uninstalled and had Device Manager search for new hardware. Problem fixed.
