CR-4848TE...among others..
I have an HP Pavilion 520c, with XP inside. Recently, my cd-rw drive, a CR-4848TE, took a crap on me. I have tried two different drives since then, a Digital Technologies drive, and a Sony drive, and both of them worked, per se, but neither of them are recognized by HP's pre-installed HPRecordNow program. Neither one of them actually work but 25% of the time with other programs, the first with Nero and the second with the B's programs. Is there an external drive that I can buy that will work? Do I have to stick with an HP drive? Any suggestions? Please email me personally if you have any ideas. Thanks!
