Does not detect cd in drawer.

Does not detect cd in drawer.

When I put a cd in the cd drawer, the computer keeps insisting that I insert a cd. Why?

or your cd-rom media is damaged, or your cd-rom drive is damaged, or the software is waiting for a specific cd-rom.

I suggest to boot the system with a know working bootable cd-rom, and see what happens
