hp 8200e (usb) and via kt133a chipset --> please have mercy on me and HEEEEEELP!
cd-writer hp 8200e (8220/8230) usb cd-writer
---------------------------------------------
abit kt7a (fsb 133 x 10.5)
amd athlon (c) thunderbird 1400 mhz
2 x 256 mb infinion ram (pc 133)
win98se
nero 5.5.1.8.
via 4in1 drivers (4.35)
via usb-support drivers (1.08)
problem: nero 5 - "buffer underruns" or "SCSI not using temporary buffers" (never before with my old intel - motherboard & cpu)
- win98se (known to have usb problems, already installed microsoft usb patch, did not help)
- via chipset driver did not help
- via busmaster update
- via's usb-driver did not do anything, either
by the way, hp's very own my-cd hangs while attempting to write, too-. i am not using directcd, however, because of problems with nero.
THE BUG MUST (!!!) BE WITHIN THE USB-INTERFACE (although hp 8220e is correctly detected and identified)AND THE VIA KT133A CHIPSET.
has anyone got a suggestion what to do?
immediate help will be greatly appreciated.
many thanks in advance :-)
