HP CD-Writer 9100 and DLA

I updated last windows XP updates and service packs from Microsoft web pages. HP CD-Writer 9100 stopped working. I downloaded DLA and RecordNow from HP web pages. After install tried to use RecordNow, but it gives error message 'No combatible Recordable or Rewritable devices could be found on your system.'. In Device Manager HP CD-Writer 9100b device status gives error message 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)'. Driver details, however, shows that couple driver files (made by Veritas) are installed. How do I get the CD-Writer on-line again ?
