Please Help!!

I have a 8250iplus cd-cdrw, and my computer is not recognizing it at all. It saids,"no support." I went to systems and there's no exclamations and it's only showing one cd drive.

Re: Please Help!!

Was this CDRW drive recently installed? What model of system do you have? how is the CDRW hooked up? what OS are you running?
What are the chances...

Re: Please Help!!

I have a Hewlett Packard Pentium III--Model No#8575c--running Windows ME. My 8250i plus rewriter came with the computer.

Re: Please Help!!

Make sure all the cables are connected inside. I had a brand new HP Pavilion that arrived with the power lead not plugged in on the CD-ROM and the Digital audio cable was non-existant. They sent out a new cable at my request and things have worked very well with it since. It may also be that the driver did not come installed, however, I would find that less possible than the cable theory, since they just ghost those images out.
