Sony SMO-F561 firmware change
Hi guys.
Our company has purchased 5 x Sony SMO-F561 drives as replacement drives for some of our
client's mx jukeboxes.
These drives have no HP firmware on them, how would one go about getting HP firmware on these drives.I have tried to use L&TT but the devices is reported as "not supported".
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Sony SMO-F561 firmware change
you know, HP FW is for HP drives, do not matter if the vendor is Sony, but when they sell to HP, HP put his technology on it.
You cannot push FW from another OEM to a Sony drive
You need to bye HP drives if you need them in HP library with HP FW

Re: Sony SMO-F561 firmware change
The answer is already above.
You cannot because of the "personality" of the drive.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
