.wav file involuntary amputation problems

when making audio cd's with easy cd creator 4, i have run into problems with .wav files being truncated. the last several seconds get cut off for some reason. at first i thought it might have something to do with the 2 second gaps removed with disc-at-once cd's, but that wasn't it. i have tried lengthening the files in a sound recorder to give the files a bit of a buffer at the end, but the program doesn't seem to recognize the extra silent seconds as actual data and continues to truncate the files exactly as before. any help?
