Still no response from HP on drivers.
Just bought a new cd16ri (was unaware that it was not supported for XP).
HP is apparently dropping their entire CD 'add-on' line in favor of the soon to be (hopefully) more profitable DVD-RW line. I can only assume that XP drivers have an extremely low priority these days.
Anyone have any suggestions? Besides going back to win2k?
By the way -- the scsi 9100 seems to work in XP -- sort of.
P.S. This thread has been moved from Disk to Optical Jukeboxes & Drives. -HP Forum Moderator

SolutionAccording to the below document (which I'm sure you read):
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg40447.html
"Windows XP-compatible CD recording software is needed to allow the drive to write to CD-R and CD-RW media."
This recording software will be available free of charge from the website soon. In the meantime, one can do nothing else but wait I guess. From the same link, you can tell Hp to be notified when the software is available from the appropriate link.
I know it's not much, sorry.
