Aruba AP-575 unable to set instant mode for singel AP

Hi just bought an Aruba 575, and I'm trying to configure it for Single AP.
It will not convert when trying to do it via the Virtual controller.

Have also tried via terminal window without success, any thoughts?

Re: Aruba AP-575 unable to set instant mode for singel AP

Hello,

The Aruba AP-575 normally operates in controller-based mode and cannot always convert to Instant mode depending on its firmware and region lock. If the AP was shipped with a Unified firmware image, it should allow Instant mode, but many outdoor models—especially service-provider or campus variants—are factory-locked to controller mode. Trying to convert through the Virtual Controller or CLI will fail if Instant mode is not supported. Check the AP’s exact SKU and firmware version; look for “RW” (Rest of World) or “US” Instant-capable models. If it is controller-only, you must install an Aruba Mobility Controller or request an appropriate image from Aruba support.
