Cannot boot up hp slate pro 21

I am stuck at the boot logo when I try to startup my hp slate pro 21. This problem just came out from nowhere as many other have reported.

Cold starting by holding down the power button for 10 seconds restarts the device in most cases, but the halt still occurs.

In an attempt to reset the device to factory state, I have tried to startup the device pressing volume down and power (for a long time) as suggested in https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Slate-21-All-in-One-Series/5381150/model/5381151/document/c03915683 (the buttons on the device do not resembled the ones in that description)..

I have heard that it could be possible to flash the device as a way out. Do I need to do that? Also, it seems like hp slate 21 pro does not have an android restore image like hp slate 8 pro has.
