Cant upgrade old IMC 7.3 E0506

Current version: IMC PLAT 7.3 (E0506) / Windows 2012 R2 / SQL Server

Hi,

I tried to upgrade my version to version E0710H08 , should be ok, but only got:

"Do not install (the component does not support upgrade from current installed compoent. Please see the release notes for details)""

What is your advise regarding this issue ?

Hi @pm9292,

IMC upgrades are not cumulative. You can’t jump from very old builds (like E0506) directly to the latest ones (like E0710 or E0711). E0506 is from ~2018, and many patches/major changes have occurred since then..

You need to upgrade in steps:

• E0506 <> E0605

• E0605 <> E0703

• E0703 <> E0710

You can’t skip these steps — IMC requires intermediate patch levels to update DB schemas and services.
