Configure HP2920 from a Cable Modem with a Static IP to do DHCP
Newbie here. Forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum and if I don't use the correct terminology.
I have been "elected" to help a nonprofit solve their wifi/neworking problem. I have solved their wifi issue, but determined that their router was fried by lightning. My work donated an HP 2920 to them and I am trying to configure it and I am donating my time. The cable modem uses static IP addresses, and I need the 2920 to issue IP addresses by DHCP.
I have searched all over to try to figure this out and can't. Anything I've found either doesn't go from factory default.
Is there anyone here that can help me? Please assume that I am starting from the factory default. I am knowledgeable about IT as it applies to my work network, and I can find my way around the 2920's menu system, but don't assume that I understand all the terminology.
Thank you for any assistance that you can give.
Best regards,
Videot

Re: Configure HP2920 from a Cable Modem with a Static IP to do DHCP
Hi Sunitha,
Thanks for the information. however, I went and signed up. I got the email for the temp pw and changed it. I then went to log in and it won't log me in. No error message. The "Sign On" button is still there and I can only view.
Do I need to be approved? Or is there something in the process that I am missing.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Videot
