Re: Error code F3 01 on HPE MSL 2024
Hello@ouafo,
Please perform a power cycle on the library to resolve this mechanical error. Sometimes, a simple reboot clears small errors.
Please check the post below.

Hope this helps!
Thank you!

F3 - Drive hardware error. (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04006690en_us&page=GUID-D7147C7F-2016-0901-0A7A-0000000011C8.html)
01 - Drive broken. (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c04006690en_us&page=GUID-D7147C7F-2016-0901-0A7A-0000000011D1.html)
You may try the following
1. Unload the tape from the drive.
2. Powercycle the library. Attempt to load a known good/new tape (test tape) to the drive (if the drive reports an idle/ready state).
3. Initiate a drive assessment test to validate the overall health of drive and tape using Library and tape tools.
If the drive continues to report an error/fault status despite unloading tape, powercycling and if the drive assessment test fails, this may require a drive replacement. Request you to open a support case for further investigation.
