Re: hp a7510 switch jd238b

Hello @lehuong,

The HP A7510 (JD238B) is an old HPE FlexNetwork modular switch, and it is now end-of-sale. The official modern replacement is the HPE/Aruba 7500X series chassis switches. They are the newer generation of the same product family.

If you replace your A7510 with a 7500X, your old configuration will not work directly. The new switch uses a newer operating system version, new modules, and different commands. You will need to rebuild or rewrite your configuration (VLANs, routing, ACLs, etc.) on the new switch.

So yes, it will affect your setup, and you should plan the migration carefully. The hardware will work better and be supported, but the configuration cannot just be copied over.
