HP IMC - Install new server

Hi,

We have an old HP IMC install (virtual environment).

I would like to install a new virtual machine with last version (virtual, too), fresh install and config.

I have read the guides about deployment and I have some questions/doubts (I would like to keep access to old virtual machine to check/consult some config if neccessary).

For keeping access to both virtual machines, they need different IPs and it is here when I have doubts about licensing and possible issues.

So,  what choice is better or better practices for this case, examples for better understanding:

1) Keep old virtual machine with current IP, install new one in termporary IP, transfer license from old install to new install and exchange IPs.
OR

2) Change IP in old virtual machine, install new one in final IP, transfer license.

My main concern is some process can affect to license or changing IP can affect to HP IMC software itself.
