HP Probook 4530s won't turn on

I have a HP Probook 4530s that will not turn on.  If I hit the power button often enough it may eventually come on but will shut itself off or go into sleep mode (power light will blink repeatedly).  Sometimes it will stay on for an hour - other times it will shut off immediately upon booting up.  I have tried disconnecting the adapter, battery and peripherals, holding the power button down for 20 second and then plugging the adapter back in.  It still will not turn on.  Any suggestions?
