ProCurve vs OfficeConnect multicast features
Hi!
Let me describe the situation. We have two labs in school 21 PCs each.
One connected via ProCurve 2510g-24 j9279a and another one with OfficeConnect 1950 JG961A.
When we clone image via Clonezilla in multicast mode,
the lab connected with OfficeConnect 1950 JG961A gets finished in about 40 min, and the second one in 4 hours.
It seems like OfficeConnect delivers exactly 1Gbit/s, but why ProCurve not capable of doing the same?
We airgap the switch in order to start dhcp server so it's a lab and a switch no router involved.
And it's the only switch where this magic happens. I'm very curious about the reason.
What are the differences in multicast features on this switches?
If I would try to copy multicast settings of OfficeConnect to ProCurve what should I look at?
More general question: In this conditions when You airgap a switch and start multicast cloning how would You configure multicast for best perfomance..
Thank You!
P.S. No IGMP on switches at all.
